July 2016 – Parks & Recreation Committee

1. Carl Schurz Park: Review of a proposal for a sculpture by Morito Yasumitsu to be displayed in the park for 7 months, starting this August. If approved, the art work would be installed on the landing above the park's Hoop Garden on the stairway to the Promenade.
2. East River Esplanade: Construction of the 81st St. bridge and ramp on the East River Esplanade--a joint issue with the Transportation Committee.
3. Queensboro Oval: Post-rally discussion of next steps in CB8's efforts to make the Oval a year-round public park.
