The Street Life Committee of the Board reviews plans for sidewalk cafes and liquor license applications. The Board then makes recommendations to the Department of Consumer Affairs and the New York State Liquor Authority with regard to these applications. This committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month.

Attention Liquor License Applicants and Attorneys
As you may know, Community Board 8 Manhattan is conducting its business remotely right now. This may affect how our response time to alcohol license application notices that are sent to us through the mail.
Until further notice, we ask that whenever possible to email us 30-Day Standardized Notice Forms and application materials for alcohol licenses instead of sending them to us physically. If you have already sent us a 30-Day Standardized Notice in the mail, it will still be processed. However, there may be a small delay. If you have recently sent us 30-day notices, please scan and email them to [email protected] as soon as possible, just in case.
