Today is the first day of Phase One reopening, 100 days after the shutdown. 

The State has released a New York Forward Business Reopening Web Tool, which helps small businesses determine if they have met the criteria for reopening.

MAY 28th RESOURCES AND UPDATES:
 

Mayor de Blasio said that over 1,700 tracers have been hired to join the Test & Trace Corp, surpassing the City’s goal to hire 1,000 tracers by June 1, with 700 hired from neighborhoods hardest hit by the virus.

MAY 22nd RESOURCES AND UPDATES:

Emergency Food Program: By next week, the Emergency Food Program will be delivering over 1 million meals per day. This is on top of the City’s grab-and-go program, which already serves over 500,000 meals per day at 500+ schools across the City.

Mayor de Blasio announced that the City will partner with CityMD to offer walk-in diagnostic COVID-19 testing to New Yorkers, effectively tripling the number of available testing sites citywide.

The State is now investigating 102 reported cases in New York where children, of a range of ages, are experiencing a serious illness that is possibly due to COVID-19. More details, including the symptoms to watch out for, are here.

The Governor will issue an Executive Order mandating that all nursing homes and adult care facilities test all personnel for COVID-19 two times per week and report any positive test results to the State Department of Health by the next day.

MAY 5TH RESOURCES AND UPDATES:
 

Late tonight/ early tomorrow morning (5/6), the MTA will begin closing the entire subway system for enhanced cleaning from 1 - 5 am. Nearly 350 buses will be added for overnight service along existing subway routes.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates April 30th

APRIL 30TH RESOURCES AND UPDATES:

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced the closure of the subway system overnight from 1 – 5 a.m. for daily deep cleaning and a new “Essential Connector” service to continue moving the heroes on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic beginning Wednesday, May 6.  During this overnight period, the MTA will intensify disinfecting operations, cleaning its fleet of thousands of cars and buses every night, and further testing new and innovative cleaning solutions, including UV, antimicrobials and electrostatic disinfectants.

APRIL 28TH RESOURCES AND UPDATES:

Do not drink, ingest, swallow or bathe in Lysol, bleach or any disinfectant. Please be sure all disinfectants, bleach and similar substances are out of reach of your children. There has been an uptick in calls to poison centers.
