Health, Seniors and Social Services Committee

1. Mental Health Awareness- a joint initiative with the Roosevelt Island committee. Discuss providing a two-day training for adults to bring awareness of mental health issues.
2. Discuss inviting the District Attorney’s office to a meeting to provide information on various issues such as prevention of rape.
3. Invite Council Member Ben Kallos to discuss his legislation to alleviate homelessness in our community.
4. Other topics:
   • Effect of the Vapor shops in our community
   • The opioid epidemic.  What can done.
