December 2013 – Housing Committee

1. Articulate goals of Committee, i.e. low and middle income housing to examine existing programs and how they impact our community;
2. Discussion of effectiveness of existing programs regarding promoting low and middle income housing;
3. Discussion of other organizations in CBM8, that address housing issues, i.e. tenant’s rights, landlord groups and initiate contact with these groups;
4. Discussion of monitoring of problem buildings and landlords, i.e. violations and living conditions;
5. Discussion of publicizing various housing programs available to residents of CBM8;
6. Discuss creation of demographic model of CBM8’s residents, i.e. how many have Sec. 8, how many live in senior housing, sizes of households.
