April 2015 – Parks Committee

1. Loeb Boathouse in Central Park: Discussion about the Parks Dept.'s upcoming RFP for a restaurant operator for the Loeb Boathouse Restaurant. The operator's current contract will expire June 30, 2016--joint issue with the Landmarks Committee
2. Queensboro Oval: The City's contract with a tennis center operator at this space expires in 2017. Since public access to this park is now very limited, the committee will discuss how much more public access to seek starting in 2017.
3. East River Esplanade: Status report on a range of repairs and improvements, including planned work on bulkheads, piers, and the 81st St. bridge project.
