AGENDA:

  1. Help for New York City's freelancers/independent contractors - Freelancers typically have been excluded from key employer-sponsored benefits, such as health and other insurance, which financially disadvantages these many workers. What can be done to help them? We'll explore both the current laws that apply to New York City's independent contractors and whether more regulations are needed to assist them. Speakers include attorney Richard Reibstein, an expert on Independent contractor law and Mercedes Cardona, a full-time independent contractor.
  2. Do needy Upper East Siders know where to find free meals and food pantries - What more information and publicity about these services is needed? Gregory Morris and David Liston will lead off our discussion.
  3. Old Business
  4. New Business
P. Gayle Baron and Margaret Price , Co-Chairs
