Minutes: March 2020 Women and Families Minutes

Agenda:

1. Expanding child care facilities on the Upper East Side--a joint issue with the Youth, Education and Libraries Committee.
   Issues to be explored include providing pre-kindergarten programs for 3-year olds on the Upper East Side; expanding universal after-school programs on the UES; and the creation of a drop-off room near City Hall where parents can temporarily leave their children while they carry out business with the City.

2. Presentation on Sex Trafficking Legislation
3. Finding solutions to paying for long-term care. 
   The committee will gather ideas for speakers at a planned hearing on financing LTC. It also will narrow down funding ideas to create a small number of committee recommendations.
