Mayor de Blasio announced the launch of the NYC Tenant Resource Portal, the city’s first-ever online resource to help residential renters access free resources from the City to help prevent evictions and keep tenants stably housed.
AUGUST 10th RESOURCES AND UPDATES:
The moratorium on evictions in New York State has been extended to September 4th. The moratorium was first put in place in March to protect residential and commercial tenants facing financial hardship due to the pandemic.
AUGUST 3rd RESOURCES AND UPDATES:
The application deadline for COVID rent relief has been extended to August 6. The COVID Rental Assistance Program will provide direct aid for tenants who lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is funded through the Coronavirus Relief Fund, which is part of the CARES Act.

JULY 27th RESOURCES AND UPDATES:
Several outdoor NYC venues are opened this week. The Bronx Zoo, the Central Park Zoo, the New York Botanical Garden, the Empire State Building observation deck and outdoor sections of Liberty Island are among the iconic spots opening this week, with capacity limits in place.

New York City entered Phase 4 today but without indoor activity. Phase 4 allows for the reopening of media production, low-risk outdoor entertainment, professional sports competitions (without fans), and more.
